You are not a watchmaker if you don't make the movement. It is not a 'British watch' if you put a chinese, swiss or Japanese movement in it. Watchmaking is a bit of a farce when someone can make a case, a dial, wear a loupe and call themselves a 'watchmaker.'

🤔 I remember back in the early 2000's, I was considering a leather strap for my (braclet version) Breitling Ocean: back then, it was $275 w/o buckle from Breitling. 😱 I've found wonderful replacement straps over the years (including exotic materials) for well under $75! 👍🏾

I have 4 off them, swapped out the straps and had them relumed. @ £90-£100 per watch, including the purchase off the watch. In truth I should have only bought a couple, they were lockdown buys😂 however with the new straps and proper lume now, I'll keep them, no regrets

Why can’t I find a straight answer as to where the SU movements are made? All I see is a lot of double talk about how EVERYTHING goes through Great B but NOTHING as to where the actual movement is MADE?!?

I have both the Seiko SARB033 and SARB035. Recently acquired in a private sale for not much money, both in mint condition, boxed and unworn. These 'strap monsters' are among the cheapest and most loved watches in my collection. Paired with quality alligator or lizard straps they punch above their weight. WFH

I wished they had better steel bracelets. I also think they shouldn't name every colorway individually. Just name the whole line, and then go with color after that. There's just too many names!

The adjustment screw(-,+) is garbage on these and cal400 as well. It strips out way too easily and renders watch un-adjustable. My Aquis with 400cal ran great….for about 3 months…then started gaining 78 sec per day. When I attempted adjustment….using correct Bergeon screw driver….the screw stripped out way too easily. Now, left with a $2k + paperweight.

Had my eye on this brands work for a while. I really like the mix of style and no fuss.

I like the moons because they are artisanal, as apposed to Christopher Ward's moons, which look like they have been printed by a machine.

I will definitely add a Farer to the collection at some stage. Their designers are doing God's work! The only thing I'd like to see is more steel bracelet options, and water resistance of 100m on the three handers and GMTs.

I have the Boldr Venture Carbon Black. It's my go to watch for cycling and mountain biking. Love it!
